OKLAHOMA CITY - The Capitol Hill athletic department announced the promotion of Jazmyne Thompson as the new volleyball head coach on Tuesday.

Thompson spent last season serving as an assistant coach for the Lady Red Wolves. An alumni of Midwest City High School, she brings versatility to her coaching insight after competing as an outside blocker and middle blocker during her playing days.

Throughout high school, she competed at the club level with both Premier and Stingray, and recently wrapped up a successful season helping coach Capitol Hill last Fall.

"I'm very excited to continue to be apart of the Hillside community." said Thompson in her introductory press conference. "I'm ready to help build a strong, competitive program and can't wait to get to work with our hard-working student-athletes."
