OKLAHOMA CITY - The Capitol Hill athletic department announced the hiring of Dustin Lyesight as the new track and field head coach on Wednesday.
No stranger to Hillside, Lyesight has served Capitol Hill as a coach for the Red Wolves football team, and also contributed his skills to the boys basketball team. This past Fall, he served as the Defensive Backs coach in the football program.
Coach Lyesight grew up in Amarillo, Texas and has proudly called Oklahoma home since graduating from Langston University in 2012 with a bachelor's degree in English. He is married to his high school and college sweetheart, and together they have four children aged between 2-10.
Driven by a passion to empower, enlighten, and educate today's youth, Coach Lyesight entered the teaching profession to make a meaningful impact in the lives of his students. His commitment to developing both the character and talent of young people is at the heart of everything he does, and he looks to bring all of those qualities to the Red Wolves track and field program.
"I could not be more excited for our track program under the leadership of Coach Lyesight now." said Nick Pettit, Capitol Hill Athletic Director. "His passion in molding student-athletes is very clear, and his true experience thus far is going to take our program to the next level!"
