OKLAHOMA CITY - The Capitol Hill athletic department announced the promotion of Malik White as the new boys basketball head coach on Wednesday.

Serving as an assistant coach last season for the Red Wolves under the legendary Leroy Combs, White lands his first head coaching position in his young career. He is a 2015 graduate of Heritage Hall, where he helped lead the team to its first basketball state championship in his senior season.

He began his college journey at Oklahoma State University, before transferring to Missouri Baptist University to continue playing basketball. He will be receiving his degree from Grand Canyon University.

"I am honored to be named the Head Coach for the Red Wolves." said White during his introductory press conference. "I look forward to continuing to build a strong relationship with the students and community of Capitol Hill."

White is also in his second year of running his youth basketball organization, O.F.F. The Charts (Opportunities for Family) where he helps lead training sessions and camps.
